Do not weep, dollface, for transsexuals have it easy.
Because the battered and bullied threw hir frustrated hands into the sky
And ze walks the waking world alone,
Do not weep.
Transsexuals have it easy.
Cruel, accusing eyes of the Transphobic individuals,
Ignorant beings who can't see beyond their own eyes,
They don't seem to understand.
"Told" by their "gods" that the LGBTQ spectrum is of the devil
And anything of the "devil" is an enemy that must die --
An "enemy" who is no different than you or I.
Do not weep, beautiful, for transsexuals have it easy.
Because your family disowned you,
Friends abandoned you, hating you for being you.
Do not weep.
Transsexuals have it easy.
Scars from the surgeries.
The replacing of your hormones.
The great changes of the body,
Many desired, others feared,
All are a part of becoming the person you are inside,
While the rude individuals around you push you
Closer and closer to the edge.
Mother who can never accept her son,
A son whose soul is that of a woman,
But she has the body of a man.
Do not weep.

I will Transform
I have a confession
A secret
Of sorts
It's not a joke
A phase
Or a hope
I had a scared thought
So long ago now
Judgment and fear
It intrigued me
On new levels
Of sensation and change
I feel as though I am trapped
Perhaps here
Or perhaps in life
I want to admit now
That I am changing
To better my survival
My body may be foreign
With these God-awful breasts and hips
But I can transform
That's what I do
I have a confession
A secret
Of sorts
I am a human
Perhaps you can't see
But I promise you'll find I don't lie
Gender is beneath me
I want to be free
I will transform
Just wait and you'll see.

Wrong of Me
It's wrong of me
To want to be equal.
It's wrong of me
To not feel like a woman.
It's wrong of me
To not be sexually attracted to anyone.
It's wrong of me
To consider everyone for a spouse.
It's wrong of me
To not be Christian.
Because it's wrong of me
To think equality means
'Even though I'm not straight, I can secure a job'
To think Freedom of Religion means
'I dont have to be Christian'
To think that Separation of Church and State means
'No church can decide what is best for me'
Because it's wrong of me
To think being an American means 'I can be me'.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the
United States of America

Out..ftm
Dear Mom and Dad,
I figured since today is National Coming Out Day, I should send this to you. I wrote this a while ago not even thinking of sharing it.
What I am about to tell you, you already know. Although, I'm not sure if you understand it or even acknowledge it. Therefore, I feel the need to tell you again and try to explain it a little better.
First, know that this is definitely not the effect of you raising me the wrong way, not dressing me girly enough, the internet, or anything like that at all. I am this way because I was born like this. I was born me, my own individual. And with being one's own individual comes certain as

I wrote this originally for my American Literature class, where we had to write our own poem mimicking Stephen Crane's War Is Kind [ Link to the poem: [link] ].
I used hir and ze so that the poem could apply to anyone of any gender; however, in the final stanza, I talk solely about a woman's MTF daughter. This was just to follow Crane's poem. I wish for this to apply to any of the genders
With all the artwork running around for spirit day, I had thought this to be the perfect topic, because transsexuals don't have it easy, and I give those of you out there much love and hugs
